Curiosity and motivation are integral to learning and creativity. But in today's world, children also need to be information literate! That is why you will see that much of my work integrates these critical areas. As a researcher, producer, and writer in my company Creative Media Solutions, and through my work as director of educational media for the Center for Digital Literacy at Syracuse University, I have been fortunate to work on many wonderful projects for both children and educators.

What you will find on this site

Educators

If you are an educator interested in curiosity or information literacy, visit the Educators page where you can freely download a number of discussion trigger videos or print resources including evaluation instruments. Find out about S.O.S. for Information Literacy. It's a project funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and an important Web tool for educators interested in enhancing information literacy instruction; you may even want to contribute to it with your own lesson plans!

Producers and Project Directors

If you have a requirement for children's or educational media consulting, design, or production, please contact me. In the meantime, the links here or at the top of this page will provide you with information on my background, scholarship, selected media projects, books published, and presentations. While all that may seem serious, I am still a kid at heart, love working with puppets, and playing characters. You can check out some of that as well!

There is nothing for sale on this site but I do provide links to publishers if you are interested in any of the books I have authored or co-authored including The Strangest Dinosaur That Never Was, a fun way to integrate storytelling and information literacy. Hope you enjoy the site!
